Water repairs planned Friday

Canton residents may experience some low water pressure tomorrow as repairs are made to meters by the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department workers.

Repairs are scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. to the water meter pit at Warren and Napier roads and there could be a resultant drop in water pressure, according to an advisory from the Detroit department.

To perform the repair, workers will have to shut down the main water feed into Canton which will result in low water pressures for residents in northwest Canton. Full pressure will be restored once the repair is complete, a spokesman noted.

Township officials also reminded residents to adhere to the voluntary odd/even outdoor water use restrictions currently in place to reduce instances of low water pressure and help control future water rate increased from Detroit.

More information about the restriction is available at (734) 394-5150.
