FeedsTeacher faces 7 years for sex with minor

Stephanie Ann SteinA former teacher at Plymouth Christian Academy in Canton Township is facing at least 7 years in prison for allegedly having criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
Stephanie Ann Stein, 31 of Canton, was charged with two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct 3rd Degree, each a 15-year felony; one count of Using the Internet to Communicate with a Minor to Commit a Crime, a 4-year felony; and 1 count of Distributing Obscene Material of a Sexual Nature to a Minor, a 2-year felony. The charges stemmed from a relationship with a 15-year-old boy that developed during the 2006-07 school year and intensified that summer, after Stein resigned from her position, according to township police.
Stein was found guilty of the crime last week and sentenced today in Wayne County Circuit Court. She was sentenced to 3-15 years for the Criminal Sexual Conduct charge; 30-40 months for Using computer to distribute obscene material to a minor, and 16-24 months on a second similar computer charge, police said.
