Western Lakes beware

Over in Romulus the John Glenn Rockets lost in a heartbreaker to Ann Arbor Huron—a team they beat earlier in the year—in the opening round of districts there.

The final was 67-56.

Austin Anderson led the Lakes division champs with 15 points.

The loss put and end to an otherwise stellar season for the Rockets. They won 11 straight before a loss to Canton and Walled Lake Western in the conference tournament last week.

However, watch out Western Lakes! Glenn, like Salem, is young and will be a force next year. The Rockets and Rocks have the talent, and now the experience, to blast through the barriers that stunted them this season. So consider yourselves warned.

Stay tuned for more district updates this week as games heat up and the season winds down.
