Prince and Princess are sought

Being cute can sometimes pay off.

Parents of 3-6 year olds in Inkster will have a chance to find out if their little ones have what it takes to be crowned Junior Prince or Princess by the Junior Miss Scholarship Program Nov. 21.

Applicants need to complete an entry form and submit it to organizers along with a $25 entry fee by Nov. 14. The event is a fundraiser to help provide scholarship money for the Junior Miss contestants and voting will take place during the program. The boy and girl with the most votes cast that evening will be named the Inkster Junior Prince-he will receive a medallion-or princess-she will receive a crown. Each entrant will receive a t-shirt and perform during program intermission.

The winners will also be asked to make a stage appearance during the 2011 Junior Miss program and the Inkster Memorial Day Parade next year.

The program will begin at 5 p.m. at Robichaud High School in Dearborn Heights.
