Inkster schools provide meals

Inkster Public Schools will sponsor a program to provide meals to children during the summer.

To qualify, children must 18 or younger or 26 and enrolled in an educational program for the mentally or physically disabled.
The meals will be provided during lunchtime hours at several local facilities, including the National Christian Association, Amity Baptist Church, Demby Center, Inkster Recreation Complex, Westwood Park, King Park and Lemoyne Park.

Meal service, which generally begins about 11 a.m. and continues until about 1 p.m., began this week and will continue until Sept. 13. Hours vary at the locations and Amity Baptist Church will also offer a snack from 4 until 4:45 p.m. while national Christian Association will serve a snack from 3 until 3:45 p.m.

For the exact hours of meal service or the location of the building serving meals, phone (734) 641-0171.
