Digital storytime set
Teens can register now for a Digital Storytelling series at the Leanna Hicks Library in Inkster.
The series will take place through July 17 and guide participants through the steps of creating a digital story including writing a script, podcasting, photography basics, music and the completion of a story. The final products will be on display during the library open house Aug. 8.
Space is limited so immediate registration is suggested. To register, or for more information, phone (313) 563-2822 or visit the library at 2005 Inkster Road.
Historic documents sought
Because Inkster Cares, a group preparing a video to help celebrate the 45th anniversary of the city, is seeking historic photos, yearbooks, ticket stubs, programs and other memorabilia connected to the city.
The group has scheduled a scanning session during which the items can be scanned and immediately returned. The items will be included on a DVD documenting the history of Inkster.
Scanning sessions will take place at the Dozier Recreation Complex from 3-5 p.m. June 27.
