Garden walk tickets on sale
Tickets for the 16th annual garden walk sponsored by the Country Garden Club of Northville are now available at Gardenviews.
This year, the event will feature seven gardens in Northville and include a garden market, live music and refreshments at historic Mill Race Village. Proceeds from the event support charitable contributions to local and national horticultural caused.
Tickets for the event, planned from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. July 8, are priced at $10 for advance sale. A limited number of tickets will be available the day of the walk at Mill Race Village at $12 each.

Summer school registration under way
Registration for a wide range of classes offered through the Northville Public Schools is now under way. Classes include high school connections, online learning, high school and middle school transition, elementary connections, middle school connections, summer kids’ club and camp invention.
The classes are open to students of all ages and credit recovery options for current high school students are available.

Farmer’s Market opens
Every Thursday through Oct. 29, the Northville Farmers’ market is open from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Northville Downs parking lot on Seven Mile and Center Street.
The market features home grown flowers and produce, plants, crafts, garden art, soaps, jewelry, furniture, woodworking and home accessories. This year, there will be scheduled cooking demonstrations from local chefs.
This year, the market will also feature the “Can You Dig It?” program which recycles plastic pots.

Garden Walk blossoms
The 14th annual Flowers are forever garden walk in Plymouth take place from noon until 8 p.m. June 30.
Tickets are $8 if purchased in advance and $10 the day of the event. Those 12 and younger are admitted at half price. There is no charge for babies, but no strollers are permitted.
The event is sponsored by the Trailwood Garden Club, a branch of the Woman’s National Farm and Garden Association.
Tickets will be available after June 1 from members and at Backyard Birds, Saxton’s Garden Center and Home Sweet Home, all in Plymouth.

Matinee series under way at Penn Theater
The Penn Theater in downtown Plymouth is featuring summer matinee and evening performances of some well-known films at 1 and 7 p.m. for a 43 admission fee.
Tomorrow, June 25, The Music Man will be shown. On July 2, Fly Away Home will be the film and on July 16 An American Tail will be shown.
The 1959 version of The Shaggy Dog will be shown July 23 and on July 30, the film will be Annie. In Search of the Castaways will be shown on Aug. 6 and on Aug. 13, the movie will be Babe. On Aug. 20, the movie will be the Apple Dumpling Gang and on Aug. 27, the final film in the series will be The Muppets Take Manhattan.
The series is being sponsored by the Packaging Corp. of America, Plymouth District Library, Michigan Made & More and Community Financial CreditUnion.

Crafters wanted for Plymouth Fall Festival
The Plymouth Fall Festival is accepting applications for the craft show, which takes place during the festival Sept. 11-13. The show will be on Union Street north of Ann Arbor Trail. 10 by10 foot spaces will cost $75 per day or $200 for the weekend. Jewelry vendors are juried and must have their applications in by June 30. All other vendors are awarded spots on a first come-basis. Business Booths available at Plymouth Fall Festival
The Fall Festival is accepting a limited number of applications from businesses interested in having a booth at the Fall Festival. A 10 by 10 foot space is $800 for the weekend. The Fall Festival takes place Sept. 11-13 this year. Society sets craft show
The Delta Kappa Gamma Education Society will host a Handmade Only Craft Show from 9 a.m. ntil 4 p.m. Oct. 17 at West Middle School in Plymouth.
