CARR, Darryll Dennall, age 45, died October 19, 2007. he was born September 6, 1962. Darryll leaves to cherish and rejoice in his memory, significant other, Delores Dean; two daughters, Tonya and Nolia Dean; four sons, Antonio Aldridge, Darryll Carr Jr, Aquilla and Christopher Dean; and grandchildren, Michael Darnell and Diamond Aldridge, all of Detroit, MI. Also cherishing his memory are brothers, William and Sylvester Carr of MI, Melvin, Jessie lee, James and Larry Carr all of Memphis, TN; half brother David Lee Hudson of Shelby, MS; sisters, Addie Be, Lorine and the late Brenda Jean Carr of Memphis, TN; three sisters-in-law, Sheila Carr of Farmington Hills, MI, Mabel Carr of Grosse Pointe, MI and DeCelia Carr of Memphis, TN; plus a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Services were held at Penn Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Willis officiating. Interment was at Knollwood Cemetery, Canton, MI. Final arrangements were entrusted to Penn Funeral Home, Inkster, MI.
CHEEKS, Lena Belle Riley, age 66, died November 1, 2007. She was born December 16, 1940. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son Derrick Renard Cheeks (9/4/99); and brothers Herbert, Roy, Presley and Ivy. She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Eric Cheeks and William Cheeks; daughters, June McKinney (Derrick) and LaTonya Jones-Greenwade (Michael); brothers, William (Mable), Tom (Martha), Reuben (Arteria) and Charles; sisters-in-law, Beverly Riley and Betty Lee; grandchildren, Ashley, Eric Jr., Menyond, Derrick jr., De’Ante, Jonathan, William III, Joshua, Angelica, Tasha, Vasha, Resheika, Elmer Jr., Dennis, Dorothea, Daniel, Danyell, Derrick II, Divine, Dinah and DeShandra and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and church family. Services were held at Bethlehem Temple of Belleville, Belleville, MI with Elder Elliott B. Karo officiating. Interment was at Sunset Hills, Ypsilanti, MI. DEASFERNANDES, Antonio, age 83, died October 30, 2007. He was born December 12, 1923. He leaves to cherish his memory, 3 siblings, Marguerite Ross (Missouri), Nathanial Deasfernandes (Willa Mae) and Marie Scott; step-sons, Curtis, Donald and David; daughter, Alicia preceded him in death; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; special and devoted friends, Pastor Karen Butler, Pastor Willie Wilson, Tetrie and Michelle (Hunter’s Apts.). KANE, Geraldine, age 65 of Wayne, November 8, 2007. Beloved wife of the late Bernard. Dear mother of Julie L. Kane and Dennis E. (Elizabeth). Willis III; three nieces, Tarra Annette Roberson, Kletha Carol Roberson and Sharita Nicole Willis (Jamar); six great nieces and four great nephews; devoted aunt, Mary Ann Barbara Curry and a host of cousins and friends.
