KENNEDY, Ida Vivian, age 83, died February 23, 2008. She was born November 23, 1924. On Saturday morning, February 23, 2008, while in Kindred Hospital, God in His infinite wisdom took Ida home to be with Him. Ida’s parents, Dan and Emily, and her sisters, Leah, Earline, Segunia and Marion preceded her in death. Ida (known to her nieces and nephews as “Aunt Red” and/or “Aunt Vivian”) leaves to cherish her memory nephews, Carter Gross (Mary), Marion smith, Dan smith and Antonio Daniels; nieces, Betty Solomon Williams, Regina Smith, Dr. Emily Smith and Tracey Daniels; a very special great niece, Vanita Kennedy and a host of cousins, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Services were held at Parks Memorial A.M.E. Church with Rev. William Phillips officiating. Interment was at Detroit Memorial Park-West, Redford, MI. Final arrangements were entrusted to Penn Funeral Home, Inkster, MI.
MEDLEY, Keith Lamont, age 39, died February 22, 2008. He was born February 1, 1969. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter Janay Medley; special friend LaWanda Drayton; sisters, Eleanor Davis and Diana Medley; brothers, Steven and Robert; sisters-in-law, Grace Medley Johnson, Cheryl Medley and Monique Medley; brother-in-law, Rebrick Copeland and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Services were held at Penn Funeral Home with Leonard Mosley officiating. Interment was at United Memorial Gardens, Plymouth, MI. Final arrangements were entrusted to Penn Funeral Home, Inkster, MI.
OWENS, Maurice Lovell, age 38, died February 24, 2008. He was born December 26, 1969. Maurice leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Ginger and Jasmine Owens of MI; son Anthony Antolak of Dearborn, MI; grandson, Jaden Antolak or Dearborn, MI; grandfather, Sid Lovell Dean and great grandfather I.B. Williams, both of Jonesboro, AR; brothers, Kenneth Owens, Sr. of Inkster, MI, Robert (Gayla) Sr. of Atlanta, GA, Derrick Owens and Fallon (Shanna) Butler of Inkster, MI; aunts, Cozetta (Lloyd Henry) Clayborn of Inkster, MI, Iola Bailey, Mary Robinson, Dr. Patricia Guy (Lloyd) Walls, all of Jonesboro, AR, and Linda Gail Guy of Little Rock, AR; uncles, Lovelle Dean and Clayton Dean, both of Inkster, MI and Larry (Shadonna) Dean of Kansas City, MO; sister, Yvette Gaddes of Inkster, MI and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held at St John’s Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Hardy Johnson officiating. Interment was at Northlawn memorial Park, Canton, MI. REED, Joyce A., died February 27, 2008. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Crystal (Calvin) Carter, Adele (Rev. Sylvester) Hickson, Casandra Johnson and Roberta Bailey; sons, Harold Lopez and Horace Lopez; grandchildren, Mario (Kelly), Cassandra (Anthony), Kelita, Deshawn, Kelli, Charles, Joyce, Jarvis, Erica, Shakira, Michael and Brittney; eight great grandchildren; brothers, Julius (Denise) Edwards, jerry Edwards, Terry (Minnie) Edwards and Walter Edwards; sister, Barbara Fox; mother-in-law, Polly Lopez; special friends, Reggie Pouge, Wyoma Higginbatham and Jack Strong; and a multitude of other relatives and friends.
