DJ leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Tamara Ellis; his father, Dushone Eldridge Sr.; maternal grandparents, Angel L. Madison-Ellis of Romulus, MI and Lloyd Ellis Sr. of Columbia, TN; his paternal grandmother, Betty Eldridge of Inkster, MI; great grandmothers, Mary Madison and Barbara Jean Harrison, both of Ypsilanti, MI; uncles Lloyd Ellis Jr. of Romulus, MI, Eric Eldridge of Inkster, MI, Tyrone Eldridge of Nashville, TN and William Eldridge of Detroit, MI; aunts, Tashonee James and Marie Fontane both of Inkster, MI and a host of other relatives and friends. His brother D’Angelo Carr preceded him in death. Services were held at Burning Bush International Ministries with Apostle D W. Shelby officiating. Interment was at United Memorial Gardens, Plymouth, MI. Final arrangements were entrusted to Penn Funeral Home, Inkster, MI.
HALEY, Bernard (Shoakes), age 53, died May 23, 2008. He was born September 17, 1954. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his devoted brother, John (Brenda) Haley of Michigan; his surrogate family Percy (Andrew) Baker of Michigan, Faye Williams of Las Vegas, NV and Phyllis Miller, Leo Miller Jr, Shakirah Houston and Shakeela Seifuddin, all of Michigan; one aunt, Ruby (Claude) Willis, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services were held at Penn Funeral Home with Elder Nathan Fisher officiating. Cremation rites were accorded. Final arrangements were entrusted to Penn Funeral Home, Inkster, MI.
LORENZ, Fred A. Jr., age 57 of Romulus, passed May 23, 2008. Beloved husband of Rebecca “Becky” J. (Freeland) Lorenz, dear father of Fred A. Lorenz III, Jennifer E. (Marc) Wolney, Sarah E. (Jim) Harrison and Allyson E. (Jeremy) McDonald, grandfather of Kathryn Wolney, brother of Paulette (Ray) Dugan, Kathy (Edward) Tobin and Odette (Shawn) Ferguson. Fred was preceded in passing by his parents, Fred A. Sr. and Kathryn L. (Madden) Lorenz. Fred was uncle to four nieces and one nephew. Services were held at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wayne, MI. MCCRAIGHT, William J. “Bill”, 61 of Romulus, passed June 6, 2008. Beloved husband of Linda C. (McCarthy) McCraight, dear father of Angela M. DeCant of Romulus, MI, Jamie L. DeCant of Toledo, OH and Lanee L. (Scott) Petri of Plymouth, MI. Grandfather of five, brother of Gloria Schwartz of White Lake, MI and Sharon (Herbert) McKeever of Lake, MI. He is also survived by by his mother Katherine (Grassel) McCraight. He was preceded in passing by his father Milton L. McCraight. Bill retired from Republic Waste in 2003 after 30 years of employment. Services were held at Crane Funeral Home, Romulus, MI with Rev. William Kren officiating. Cremation rites were accorded.
