BRYANT, Dwight Darnell Sr., age 40, died July 6, 2008. He was born January 16, 1968. Those left to cherish Dwight’s loving memories are his wife, Marietta Denise (Butter), five sons, Darryl, Christopher, Dwight jr., Radjay and Devonta; granddaughter, Laneija; parents, Rodger and Jerlean Bethune; brothers, Oscar (Billy Jo) and Rodger, Jr. (Tazeria); sister, Bobbie (Kenneth); grandmother, Thelma Carter; mother-in-law, Sandra Horton; father-in-law, Eddie Horton, Sr.; sisters-in-law, Lavonna and Shelly; brothers-in-law, Eddie Jr. and Brandon; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Services were held at Fountain Church of God in Christ, Ann Arbor, MI with Pastor Samuel L. Peppers officiating. Interment was at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Ypsilanti, MI. Final arrangements were entrusted to Penn Funeral Home, Inkster, MI.
CLARK, Samuel Earl, age 56, died July 8, 2008. He was born March 26, 1952. He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Samuel E. Clark Jr. and five grandchildren of Detroit, MI; six brothers, Max (Carol) of Omaha, NE, LC (Gwenda) of Westland, MI, Kenneth (Mary) of Lansing, MI, Jerome (Marie) of Omaha, NE, Maurice (Jeanne) of Atlanta, GA and George Clark-Bey of Inkster, MI (Malcolm preceded him in death); four sisters, Louise Clark Wooden of Romulus, MI, Suzette (Edward) Bell of Westland, MI, Tamara (Richard) Rashad of Inkster, MI and Georgina Clark of Romulus, MI; 107 nieces, nephews and greats and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Services were held at Beverly House of God, Romulus, MI with Bishop Maurio A. Clark officiating. Interment was at United Memorial Gardens, Plymouth, MI. FLORENCE, Tamara Necole, age 28, died July 7, 2008. She was born June 24, 1980. Niki is survived by her beautiful daughter, Antwonetta Tavina Taylor, her loving mother, Michelle (Paul) Robinson, her loving father Brian Florence, two brothers, Brian Florence Jr. and Maleik Robinson, one sister, Shelby Robinson, her fiancée, Antwon Taylor, her grandmother, Ollie Lee Boyer, a nephew, Marian Florence, six uncles, five aunts, four great uncles, three great aunts, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. GUESS, Delores, age 63, died July 3, 2008. She was born June 6, 1945. She leaves to cherish her memory her four children, Robert Jr., Marcus, Anita and Wanda; one sister, Pearl Dee; two brothers, Alvin and Clark; one son-in-law, Paul; three grandchildren, Derrick, Deshawn and Jeremiah; five nieces and seven nephews and a host of great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. SANDS, Pamela Rebecca, age 52, died July 6, 2008. She was born June 16, 1956. Pam leaves to mourn, her adopted mother, Algerne Carmichael; daughter, Tabatha Sands; brother, Charles h. Sands (Carolyn); long time companion, Johnny Battle and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held at Womack Temple CME Church, Inkster, MI with Rev. Zachary E. Easterly officiating. SEYMOUR, Walter James of Canton, July 17, 2008. Loving husband, father, and grandfather. Jim was a Navy Veteran. Retired from Ford Motor Company where he worked at the Michigan Truck Plant. Jim will be greatly missed by his family and will be remembered for hosting some of the best barn parties in Wayne County. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 59 years, Shirley, his sons, Michael, Daniel (Yvonne), William (Elizabeth), Thomas, and his daughter Mary (John) Bassett. Jim also had seven grandchildren Brandi, Matthew, Jessica, Katherine, Andrea, James, and Julie. He spoiled them with ice cream and hayrides when they were little. Jim is also survived by his brothers and sisters Rosemary (Peter) Urbaniak, Lawrence (Susan) Seymour, Paul (Carolyn) Seymour, and Katherine Rosevear. Visitation was held at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, Wayne. Funeral Services were Monday, July 21st St. Mary Catholic Church in Wayne. Contributions can be made to Angela Hospice or American Cancer Society.
SIMMONS, Gale Leanna, age 62, died July 10, 2008. She was born October 30, 1945. WALKER, Fred, age 57, died June 27, 2008. He was born February 4, 1951. He leaves to mourn, one sister, Janice, and two brothers, Clarence Walker of Maryland and Paul Walker of Detroit, MI, and a host of relatives and friends acquired throughout his life. WILLIAMS, Neva, age 89, died July 10, 2008. She was born January 1, 1919. She leaves to mourn her passing three devoted daughters, Shirley Ann Walker (Richard Henry) of Detroit, Phyllis Campbell of Inkster and Michal Patricia Walker of Romulus; one sister, Evelyn Butler and one brother, Arthur Clardy, both of Detroit; four grandchildren, Meeka Jordan, Jamie Moore, and Alicia Lawson (Corey) of Detroit, and Eugene O’Neal (Gwendolyn) of Rowley, NC; thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and a host of other family members; a devoted nephew, Clarence Whittaker (Sharon); niece, Sandra Jean Thompson (Donald); William Clardy Jr. and Althea Tainer of Inglewood, CA; Lydia Hamilton and son Roderick Hamilton of Detroit and Charlene Davis of Cleveland, OH and a host of friends. WRIGHT, Joanne Phyllis, age 65, died July 4, 2008. She was born February 27, 1943. She leaves to cherish loving memories her daughters, Tracy and Tamika; sisters, Loretta, Toni, Ida, Clare and Cynthia; brothers, Steven and Brian; brothers-in-law, Johnny (Ida) and Mike (Cynthia); sisters-in-law, Sabina (Brian), Theresa (Steven) and Debra Jackson (Kevin); grandchildren, Tony, Christian, Reginald and Tarina; great grandchildren, Tonnaiye and Tony III, and a host of family and friends.
