Conversation in Cloth

From abstract art quilts to three-dimensional sculpture, the Northville Art House exhibit, Conversations in Cloth, showcases the diverse work of local fiber artists. The show invites viewers to examine pre-conceptions about cloth and its use as form, not function, according to a spokesman. Many local artists are featured and the show includes the installation piece “The Enneagram” by Mary York Gentry. The show will open from 6-9 p.m. Aug. 6. It will continue during regular gallery hours, 1-5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. For more information, phone (248) 344-0497. The gallery is located at 215 W. Cady St. in Northville and admission is always free.
