Student radio station auction tunes up

Students from the Plymouth-Canton schools radio station will be auctioning items from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. May 16 during the 21st annual Radio Auction.

The event generates funds for the student-operated station.
New items will be auctioned off every half-hour. Listeners can support the station by calling in bids throughout the day for items like memorabilia, restaurant gift certificates, and services from local businesses. A dream board of unique items will be available for bidding all day long.

Donations are still being accepted.

“The generosity of Plymouth-Canton businesses is overwhelming,” said Bill Keith, station manager. “Their support is especially encouraging when you consider how many requests they receive.

“My dream is that someone is a friend of Chris Osgood and they can convince him to have dinner with one of our high bidders,” Keith added.

To donate, or for more information, phone (734) 416-7732 or contact Keith at keithb@pccs.k12.mi.us.

“Most importantly, we hope people will tune in and listen to the auction. It’s a fun event to listen to and the students work so hard,” he said.

The auction can also be heard via a live web feed at www.881The Escape.com. The website will feature a complete list of auction items.
