Art in the sun
The arts festival season begins next week when downtown Northville hosts the 21st annual Art in the Sun event. Artists like Tom Legault (above) will be on hand for the two-day festival, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday June 27 and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 28. Children’s activities include sand art, plaster painting, sandy candy, caricatures, and face painting. Musical guests are: Sheila Landis, award winning jazz vocalist (noon to 4 p.m. Sunday; Roy Scoutz, classical guitarist; Americamanta, Brazilian music; and Ken Majors, professional drummer (10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday).
