A handy campaign season tool

There will be plenty of campaign literature and television advertisements throughout the summer months and into the fall—good, bad, ugly—and false.
It can be hard to keep it all straight and figure out, in the finger-pointing world of politics, where the first liar often is the winner, but there is now an online reference designed to help sort things out. It’s called the Michigan Truth Squad.
Set up by the Center for Michigan, it’s designed to blow the whistle on misleading campaign literature—of which I suspect there will be plenty.
I’ll do my best to point out those kinds of issues when they come up, too, as I have in the past. If you see or read anything that raises your hackles, sends up a red flag or makes you want to lose your lunch, drop me a line.
