The perception problem

The annual Realtor’s Luncheon hosted by the Wayne-Westland Community School District is a pretty cool idea.
It’s tied to the simple fact that school districts are one of the most important things that people look at when choosing a home and realtors are most often the front line communicators of that message.
So the district sends out an invitation every year, brings them in and tells them about all the positives in the district.
This one took place at the site of the district’s most recent achievement, the newly-finished Alumni Arena at Wayne Memorial High School. It was a little cramped eating in the hallway, and attendance was pretty spotty, but there is still plenty of things to be positive about in the district.
I’ll have a rundown in a story for the paper on May 3. For now, though, the news was good; the achievements, impressive and the lunch? Awesome. Good job Chef Tony and his culinary crew.
