A strange 'thank you'

I guess I have a hard time understanding the people who still support Mark Slavens.
There are a lot of them out there, too. His signs are still up throughout the Plymouth-Canton Community, even though he’s stated that he’ll have to step down from the school board on May 8 because he was appointed circuit court judge.
We’ve received plenty of emails about the subject and most voice displeasure at the other candidates and say a vote for Slavens is a way to say ‘thank you’ for all the years he’s put in.
That’s a strange thank you—throwing away your vote on someone who will not serve the community in the school board capacity.
This has been a strange campaign season so far. We’ll have more on this issue in the Plymouth-Canton-Northville editions this Thursday.
