Some 'solution'

I have to laugh at the headline on the press releases that have been come in from House Democrats recently.
“So-and-So votes for solution to protect schools from deep cuts.”
They then go on to pat themselves on the back for coming up with the idea to borrow money from the state tobacco settlement.
This doesn’t sound like a solution to me. It’ll put the problem off for a few months which might buy some time for legislators to fix the real problem, but I don’t hold much hope of that. They’ve had time already to fix things; they’re more comfortable with pointing fingers and spreading pretty, empty words.
But maybe I’m just a pessimist and they’re on the right track. I’ll go borrow some gas from my lawnmower to put into my car to see if that solves that issue.
I’ll let you know how that turns out.
