Can you hear me now?

Across from the third base side of Comerica Park, there used to be a huge mural depicting a variety of sea life on one of the skyscrapers.
Now, it’s an ad for a cellular phone service.
I don’t know when this change happened; I only noticed it last night when I was down there for a triumphant 9-2 victory over the Red Sox.
I had always just absorbed the other mural as part of the fantastic ambience of Comerica Park. The ad is much more intrusive; it’s bad enough that it’s on every channel. I don’t want to see it there, too.
I suppose it’s a sign of the times. The next time I make it down there, Detroit’s skyline will probably look like a forest of huge, gaudy billboards.
The Tigers are playing good, though. Maybe we’d all be better served just by watching the game.
