Good choices in Northville

It’s strange being the only person in the audience at a public meeting.
But the agenda for the Northville Public School board meeting Tuesday night was, admittedly, a little light.
The main thing they did was elect new officers for the year. Joan Wadsworth will resume her role as president; Libby Smith was voted in as vice-president; Karen Paciorek will be the secretary and Ken Roth, last year’s president, will be the treasurer.
They all seem like good choices. I’ve always liked Joan—she runs a crisp meeting, which I always appreciate, is well-informed and committed to the job. She’d make a good candidate if she ever wanted to run for another—or higher—office, so I think the Northville School District is lucky to have her around.
It’ll be another challenging year for the district, but the leadership appears very solid, indeed.
