I wasn’t a big fan of the colored concrete when I first saw it poured for the new town square project in downtown Northville.
It looked like the sludge you get when you mix all of the paint together at the end of a finger-painting session.
With the brick pavers installed, though, it looks a lot better. It brings out the color of the accent bricks and ties the project together.
It just goes to show that sometimes you need to look at the larger picture to put things in perspective.
I wonder if something similar will happen to change my opinion on the gigantic iron butterfly that will replace the gazebo?
