Eight years, many memories

Today is the eve of Election Day and many candidates throughout the state may spend a sleepless night.
There are two in the City of Plymouth, though, that won’t have to. They are Mayor Dan Dwyer and Commissioner Michele Potter. Both elected eight years ago, they are term-limited out of office.
A lot has changed in the city during the last eight years, when there were more than a dozen candidates seeking election. Plymouth had hit one of those bumps in the road that all communities run into every now and then, when the personalities—and their conflicts—overshadowed the work being done.
I remember first interviewing those two when I worked at a now defunct newspaper in Plymouth. I’ll be sorry to see them go, and I hope they won’t go too far.
