A warm reception

State Rep. Marc Corriveau (D-Northville) received a round of applause last night from the Northville Township Board of Trustees.
Corriveau introduced legislation on Tuesday to help protect townships from annexation proceedings. It’s a version of similar legislation that was introduced recently in the state senate by State Sen. Bruce Patterson (R-Canton).
“(Marc) has been with us from the very, very beginning on this,” said Township Supervisor Mark Abbo—who ran against Corriveau two years ago.
Corriveau even left with a gift—an antique House of Representative sign. There were smiles all around.
It’s nice to see state and local officials working together for the benefit of the overall community….
