If all goes according to plan, Wayne business owner Kimberly Loveless plans to re-open her shop today.
Many of you know Loveless was attacked on Dec. 11 when she closed up The Acorn Shop on Wayne Road. Her recovery has been difficult, but she has met the challenge with an inspirational amount of strength and class.
She plans a grand re-opening on Thursday (her birthday, by the way) and specials throughout the weekend. I think it would be nice if she saw a lot of foot traffic this week, plenty of people welcoming her back and telling her we’re all glad she’s okay.
I’m sure I’ll make it down some time, hopefully today. I had a ban on new toys for Henry, but we had been eying an addition to his marble run. And my wife tells me you can never have too many candles.
The store is on the east side of Wayne Road, between Michigan Avenue and Glenwood, for those that don’t know…
