Help protect our water

Some of you may have noticed that we’ve seen a little more snow and rain than usual this winter.
That’s good news for our lake and river levels—and the state in general—but it will also attract some unwanted attention, too. States that have seen drier years recently have made more and more overtures about diverting our water to help out their situation. This is something that our legislators will have be vigilant on—this is the Great Lakes State, not the Great Lakes nation.
There’s a town hall meeting scheduled for those who want to get informed and stay involved about this issue. It takes place from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Northville Senior Center, which is located at 303 W. Main Street in downtown Northville.
State Reps. Marc Corriveau, Kathleen Law Rebekah Warren are fronting it.
For more information on the issue, check out this link.
