Fireworks are back!

The good news is the fireworks celebration will be back in the City of Wayne this year.
The bad news—at least for me—is that the print editions of the Wayne Eagle have the wrong date for the event. I knew the city council would vote on the issue Tuesday night and I knew they’d approve it and I assumed from there that it would take place on the last Wednesday of the month.
Nope, it’s Monday, June 23. The city traditionally has the event the same night Detroit shoots off theirs. So mark your calendars for Monday, June 23, not Wednesday.
I’ll correct the on-line version and do a follow up story next week. Sorry about the mishap, everyone
