Greetings at the beginning of a historic day.
Today Americans will either vote in the first African American president, or the oldest first term president and a female vice president. We are on the brink of history and record numbers are expected at the polls.
I came in to the office to clear out a couple of things before I go out and cast my own ballot. I’m sure I’ll have to make my way past people attempting to sway my decision at the last moment.
This year, that looks like a sound strategy, too. Despite the importance of this election, the historical significance of it, most of the people I’ve talked to are undecided in who they’re going to vote for. At the national level, it always seems to come down to not who they like more, but who they dislike the least. Why is that?
At the local level, there are plenty of close races to be decided, and not so close ones to be finalized. Here’s to a long day and a long night, everyone. Here’s my tally on energy drinks: one down, about six to go….
