The Plymouth Whalers moved into second place in the OHL West Division with a 7-1 victory at London on Thursday and a 5-3 home victory against the Sudbury Wolves on Friday. The Whalers’ road to another perfect weekend was interrupted by a 2-1 shootout loss to the visiting Barrie Colts on Saturday. Above, Plymouth’s Zack Shepley (28) battles Barrie’s Richard Clune for the puck on Saturday. Whalers’ goalie Michal Meuvirth (40) protects the goal. Shepley helps behind the net. The Whalers are now 19-10-1-1 and just two points behind division leaders Saginaw. Plymouth is on the road this weekend with games at Peterborough at 7 p.m. today, Oshawa at 7:35 on Friday and Brampton at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
