Rockets fall to Novi, 52-49

The Rockets lost to Novi, 52-49, on the Wildcats’ court last Tuesday. Glenn took a 12-10 lead after the first period of play but eight turnovers in the second allowed Novi to take a 26-18 half-time lead. The Rockets outscored the Wildcats 31-26 in the second half but it wasn’t enough to rebound from the second quarter doldrums. Rob Jones scored 14. Keshawn Martin and Stefan Marken each had 11 and Jackie Wilson added 10. Glenn hosts cross-town rivals Wayne at 7 p.m. today.

Romulus lost to Pontiac Northern, 88-71, last Tuesday in Pontiac. Sophomore Rashard Porter led the Eagles with 15. The Eagles soared by Monroe, 88-45 on Thursday. Valdez Green scored 13 and Rod Walker 12 for Romulus.

Plymouth beat Walled Lake Central, 39-37. Brandon Roberts scored 12 for the Wildcats.
