Murray was second on beam with an 8.9. She tied for third with Zach on bars with an 8.85. She also scored an 8.9 on vault to put her in fourth.

The win boosted Canton to 14-2 overall. They remain undefeated in the conference, 11-0.
Last week, after placing seventh at their own invitational, the Lady Chiefs beat both the Livonia Red and Livonia Blue teams. Canton finished with 145.500 to Blue’s 144.525 and Red’s 144.40.
Kelley won vault with a 9.7 and tied for second (9.6) on floor and took fourth (9.05) on bars to help her finish fourth (37.10) in the all around.
Murray was second (9.65) on beam, fourth (9.2) on vault and sixth (9.2) on floor to help land her in fifth (36.55) in the all around.
Staley was sixth (36.45) all around with third (9.2) on bars, fourth (9.35) on beam and a tie for fifth (9.05) on vault.
Burns was sixth on beam with a 9.1.
“I was very pleased,” said Canton Coach John Cunningham. “The girls were able to put the seventh-place finish at out invitational behind them. We didn’t practice in between the meets and they got better—it takes a special kind of athlete to be able to do that.”
Canton will start preparing for the conference meet at Walled Lake Central next Thursday, Feb. 22.
