Next level coaches are ready for summer camps.

Jason Malloy, a former Inkster resident and Dearborn Heights Robichaud All-American and All-State football standout, hopes area athletes are ready for the Next Level.

He will host his 5th Annual Next Level Football Camp on July 10-11 at John Glenn High School, giving participants an opportunity to improve at all levels of their gridiron game.

Malloy, Next Level Football Camp founder, president and director, spent his college years as a Bronco at Western Michigan University. He now lives in Canton and is the assistant head coach, linebackers and special teams coordinator at Ann Arbor Pioneer.

His Next Level camp is directed toward high school athletes in ninth through 12th grades. The camp provides young athletes an opportunity to develop fundamental football skills in a well-supervised, organized and enthusiastic environment, Malloy said.

“After graduation I decided that I wanted to give high school athletes a better opportunity to get recruited,” he said. “I then started Next Level Football Camp. I love kids and the main reasons for me coaching are to give the kids a role model, help them try to get a scholarship, and prepare themselves for the real world.”

Last year the camp had several athletes make All-Area, All-City, and All-State honors. Freddie Bishop III earned a scholarship to Western Michigan University and could be an impact player right away, according to Malloy.

Malloy’s qualified staff will help each camper gain the maximum potential in his position.

Next Level is a non-contact camp so no helmets or pads are necessary but football cleats, gym shoes and mouth guard are required.

This year’s guest speaker is Bob Chmeil of the National Collegiate Scouting Service. Camp sponsors include Muscle Milk, Velocity Performance, The Scouting Edge and National Collegiate Scouting Service

The cost for the camp is $60. Included in the fee is a t-shirt, a continental breakfast and lunch each day of camp.

Time is running out to register so act fast. The last registration day for the camp is set for 5-7:30 p.m. on Monday, June 30 at John Glenn High School located at 36105 Marquette, Westland, MI 48185.

Late registration is available the week of July 1-5 by calling the camp phone at 313-283-6172 between 6-9 p.m.
