Giving thanksThe steps in front of Westland City Hall filled with area residents last Thursday as part of the annual National Day of Prayer celebration, which offered individuals a chance to celebrate the power of prayer. Hosted by the Wayne-Westland Ministerial Association, area religious leaders including the Rev. Arthur R. Mack and Pastor Carl Ames (pictured) led prayers recognizing various aspects of the community life such as families, schools, the military, the federal, state, and local governments and the economy.
