Westland Foundation awards annual scholarships

There are 10 teens in Westland who will find paying for college a little easier thanks to the Westland Community Foundation.
The foundation presented the recent graduates with scholarships, eight worth $500 and two for $1,000 to help defray their college costs. The gifts were awarded at the annual Christmas in July celebration the foundation sponsored last month.

State construction projects to begin

Next spring, things will smooth out and look better throughout the area.
