‘Restaurant Rally’ planned
Visitors to Westland will leave with a good taste in their mouth after the 3rd Annual Restaurant Rally July 25.
Each year, the Westland Chamber of Commerce offers citizens an opportunity to sample some of the best food in the city. This year, the restaurant rally will feature 10 restaurants, many of them new to the community.
“It gives people an opportunity to try different foods and different restaurants,” said Lori Brist, president and CEO of the Westland Chamber of Commerce. Rally participants will also be able to get into the popular restaurants without waiting, she added.
For a the $20 ticket, participants armed with a menu of sample options will be able to decide where to go and in what order to visit participating restaurants. They can drive themselves, but free shuttles will be available to chauffeur them from restaurant to restaurant. In addition to the food, some of the restaurants are expected to offer other treats, including drink specials, to rally participants.
There’s still time to get involved, too. As of last week, the chamber still had about 100 tickets available, Brist said.
“It’s a very popular event,” she said. “We have people who come every year.”
This year, the rally will feature house specialties from Applebee’s, Beaver Creek, Casa Fiesta, Farwell and Friends, Johnny Carino’s, Longhorn Steakhouse, Malarkey’s Irish Pub, Marvaso’s Italian Grille, Panera Bread, and the Uno Chicago Grill.
