Bargain hunting
Despite the cool temperatures, shoppers turned out in droves to search for treasures of all kinds at the twice-annual Westland Community Garage Sale. From clothing and toys to new cosmetics and a car, virtually anything was available for purchase if the price was right. Proceeds from the rental of the spaces benefited the Westland Therapeutic Recreation Program, the Westland Youth Assistance Program, and Kicks 4 Kids. The city will host the next sale in May, 2008.
