Help for our heroes
On Saturday evening, Westland residents flocked to Dearborn for a concert benefiting wounded veterans. The show featured country music star Lee Greenwood who met with some of the organizers of the event before his performance. The total was still unknown on Tuesday, but profits will be donated to Veteran’s Haven in Wayne, and other charities, to fund services for veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The concert was sponsored by Westland City Councilman Bob Stottlemyer, and supported by Mayor Sandra Cicirelli and city council.
