The first-ever Tour de Belleville bike ride and fundraiser took place in July around the Belleville area. Pat and Diane Bruetsch, owners of the Bicycle Peddler in downtown Belleville, organized the event to generate funds for Andrew Valinski, a Van Buren Township boy with leukemia, and other children with the disease. More than 100 people participated, including Nicole, Dan and Allison Dillmann, George Troia and Jacquene Floyd.
